Working over the holidays

with one comment

I learnt shoveling a 200 foot driveway is a great exercise.   A few breaks here and there to towel off the sweat then back to shoveling.  First snowfall was the worst, heavy wet stuff that was a pain to move.   Next two times were easier, powder snow.   Starting to get  big piles of snow here and there now.

Actually quite relaxing doing it this way even if it takes a while

Started to drywall the bathroom as a start.  Will shortly get some plywood and put that up in the utility room. Easier for shelving and I will build in a small work bench to tinker away on things/

Moving in fits and starts on the kitchen area.  First bit of countertop on and stuck the sink in.  Plumber to hook that up.

Quick kitchen install to get me going.

Cooked a lot of stews on the wood stove and tons of hot water out of it.  It makes great toast, best i’ve had in a long time, just laying the toast on the stove top.   Learning to move pots around as things need to boil or simmer.

  1. I love your stove!!! The driveway must’ve taken awhile but what a great way to spend a morning! I’d do that any day over what I’m doing here at work!!! (daydreaming lol!!)
